Abstract


Current recommodations for treatment and prophylaxis for anthrax express concerns about resistance to beta-lactum antibiotics, whether natural or genetically manipulated, and have contributed to ciprofloxacin or doxycycline being recommended for first-line treatment or prophylaxis following exposure to Bacillus anthracis spores.
